My new GBTA moved behind the rock in the tank, can I coerce him to move to the front?

I have a NEW GBTA that I've had for about 4 days now. I put him in a safe spot but then he recently moved to th back of the tank and you cant see him. His foot attached to the rock. He's much mor beautiful than at the LFS, i'd like him in the front. Any safe way of doin it?

Mine did the same thing for about three weeks, once he was fully acclimated and felt comfortable he moved to the top center. I would just let your BTA do its thing and he will move eventually to a place that makes him happy. If nothing else in the tank is dying then the nem is still alive.

well you could adjust the flow, and then it might come out. i have the exact same problem with mine, a nice cream colored one with a bright orange foot and now i cant see it. move the rocks around a bit, but if you want to move it yourself, start by gently(very) detaching it from the rock then set it where you want it to be and it will attach itself to the rock immediately

Moving rock is not an option...too established and too amny critters. I am afraid to remove his foot from rock, glass OK, but rock makes me nervous. I'll be patient with him.

I agree with giving him a little time to acclimate. Let him get used to the lighting, and I am sure he will eventually head to wards the top seeing that most bubble tips are attracted to higher lighted areas. Also, make sure you don't have too much flow towards the to of tank.

Agreed on leaving him be. I have a beautiful nem that didn't like where I placed him at first. He went in the back, hid from the LEDs, and 3 weeks later, overnight, emerged front and center to become my showpiece!

Patience, and let the animal move on its own.

I have had anemone's in different tanks for years and currently have 12 BTA's in cube. Just be patient. If the specimen is healthy and your tank is in good shape with proper parameters etc, the BTA will find a nice spot in the light on it's own. This can often take weeks.

+1 on the weeks part, but once it finds a nice spot, it won't move unless something is wrong.
