My New Haddoni. Some Q's?

Will-do.

Does its mouth look normal for just eating? the tentacles sure where sticky which id a good sign correct?

Did you shade the lights? It could either be the lights or the sand (( lack there of )). I know that back when I had my Clarkii pair, they would fan away all the sand and the Haddoni would start to move.

I shaded the lights yesterday and it immediatly started moving once the lights went off. i aso have decided to add a 1.5 inch sand bed so that should be done pretty quickly. Its odd it stayed there for 6 days before it started to move.

BTW my params are as follow:

Mag: 1390
Calcium: 470
KH : 8.9
Nitrates: 0
Nitrites: 0
Phosphates: 0
Ammonia: 0
PH 8.0
The anemone is very sticky as well

All tested Via salifert

My New Haddoni , Some Q'?

Hi Psusocr : Awesome color variations beautiful healthy looking Carpet anenome keep trying to feed he will eat when comfortably ready, I feed my green bubble small pieces of saltwater fish that I catch and ocean caught red salmon soaked in vitamins every third day. Just give him time to settle in he looks happy and just needs time to get accustomed to the new surroundings , .likewise as the clowns also need time to feel aqainted and comfy with this new addition. Happy Reefing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:inlove:

Those parameters look good -- though was is your SG/Salinity?

I would put the sand in, and then just leave it alone for a week -- just let it settle down.

You can keep a haddoni in a bare bottom tank. Place them in a pvc tube with a pvc cap on the end. Then, just place a few rocks around the pvc or glue on some star polyps - done.

Yes, I know my tank has sand, but it's just barely enough to cover the glass (b/c I don't like the look otherwise).

Cheers

Thanks for all the compliments guys,

My s.g is dead on at 1.025, he moved to the side a bit, but still looks awesome..update pics soon

ousnakebyte : I have read your threads on how you had put your carpet in before i bought mine and was going to try that method since it worked so well for you, however at the time i didnt have any sand..now im not sure how i would ever get this guys foot out of where its buried.

Im going to give it some time to see where he moves to , in hindsight i should have put him in the corner where this is very little flow..hes in a medium flow area now, which is what i thought they liked.

I managed to snag mine when it was scaling the sides of the aquarium wall - only then did I dare remove it - didn't want to cause injury, of course.

Good luck.

Cheers
