thanks......its finally starting to look like I have visioned it, still a long way to go and a lot more additions to come....

hard to say I stopped counting .....I would have to sit down and make a list ......just added 14 new leopards and 3 other wrasses in the last two months and I already had quite a few other wrasses to start with....

Your tank is amazing I love all the fish. I would like my tank to look like that someday. How long do you QT your wrasses for?

Wrasses usually just with paraizipro and a ro dip......they tend not to fair well in QT and parasites are usually not a problem with them but that does not mean they can not be effected or effect your whole system ...my system is set up for fish only and if need be I can put the whole system in hypo in a matter of days if there is an issue with a parasite ...

You put a 540 gal tank in hypo? What about the live rock? You don't have any inverts in there?

yes its very simple .....and the live rock is fine about 1500lbs and 400lbs of live sand .....no inverts except a few blue legs and red legs that don't seem to be bothered ....only noticeable change will be skimmer will need to be choked back as it will not skim as efficiently in the lower salinity but that is adjusted easily and it still puts out the same portion once adjusted....its actually a very simple thing to do with the way my setup was designed .....only fish I house that are bothered if its more than 3 weeks are the purple and yellow tangs as they tend to not like it after about the 3rd week and start to show signs with skin coloration stress ....its just that family (Zebrasoma) that is effected generally for me ....

That's awesome. I'm going through a bout of ich right now. I removed all the fish because all I read was how rock will die along with all the inverts. My chevron is starting to shows signs of distress and it has only been 2.5 weeks

if you have them in a qt tank do you have an ammonia badge in it......and how are you keeping the water quality while they are in there.....your in CS I'm in Sunrise come see anytime...

Yes I have an ammonia badge. I'm doing daily water changes. One more question about ich, I thought you have to have a bare bottom. I have a 375 gal tank and I had to weigh taking out the fish or leaving them in the dt but everything I read told me to take fish out fish in dt for 2 months and do hypo for 4 weeks and another 2 -4 weeks for observation. Thanks for the invite I'll have to take you up on it 1 day

Don't need a bare bottom ....I puty old 300 in hypo to qt all fish I moved into my new setup ....you wil have die off 99% of inverts and all worms ext ....will need to do water changes to combat ammonia till the bio catches up and takes care if it .....but your doing fine with the qt .....
