I'm a little worried because my newly purchased LTA disappeared from where it was in my tank. (The tank is a well established 125 gal, up and running since 2007.) I have a pink skunk who found it, and the two seemed happy. The anemone was settling and digging into the sand, and the skunk was cuddling and sleeping in it. I left for a short vacation two days later (I have someone who normally takes care of my tank of these occasions.) When I came back from vacation, the skunk was back in a BTA--or rather, two BTAs which live in close proximity to each other, one having been a split off the other. The skunk guards both ferociously, but left them in a heartbeat once I put the LTA into the tank. I cannot find the LTA now at all, and no trace of it either. No lump or glutinous mass of leftover anemone around that I can see. The tank is 125 gal, with lots of live rock to hide in, and lots of sand (from 2" to 5" throughout) but visibility is limited because of all the rock work. I was only gone 3-1/2 days..... Is it possible the LTA has floated off to somewhere else in the tank, is hiding and is still living??? If it's died and I can't find the body, I know it can be big trouble. What should I do?
