I like those midnights, too! I feel about the same as you with the platinums. Thankfully, there are lots of choices out there now so that we can all get some variant we are pleased with personally:) I'm hoping they can make them in pink someday! :D

Kent, nice nem! That thing is amazing looking.

lovin' the red carpet. (as a theater person...it has a nice ring to it). Also...i have two Haddoni carpets that i recently acquired from Steve. The newest addition came with it's host clowns all neatly wrapped up inside of it. The female sleeps directly in the mouth. Meanwhile, the previous Haddi was being scoped out by my onyx clowns and they have successfully matched up and are now all snuggled up in it. I agree that it's risky, and I knew the risks involved, but wanted to give you an equally positive comment about the pairing of the two.

Kat, glad your clowns are lovin your carpets. My platinums are staying away completely so not too concerned at this point. The red one did zap my Sohal tang today and he jumped about a foot no joke. He had not marks and was fine. i do believe for the most part fish have an born in warning instinct to stay away. The red carpet is very happy so far and hoping for the best since they are sometimes touchy but this guy looks good so far and the mouth is looking good. My neon green carpet was in a tank for years so it has been good due to it being in captivity. Seems as though the clarkii's and tomatos host the most in carpets. I should be picking up a few rbta's within the next week or so and hope the platinums host in that since they tend to say in the upper part of the tank which is odd for clowns in my experience.

that is odd for clowns. i'm wondering if it's something associated with this particular species. How cool would it look for them to pair up with an RBTA, though? Great contrast.

yes....color wise could be nice. When I got them they were in a 20 gallon and now are in a 90 gallon so that might be part of it. Only tangs in the tank besides them.

I dont but I need to get one posted. I recently moved so I have my stuff scattered between two solanas, one 90 rimless, and my buddy is housing all my "prized pieces". My Rimless is becoming my show tank but it is a work in process. I have some show pieces that are being baby sitted for now until my main tank is ready for them. :)

I have a pair of Platinums hosting in a couple large RBTA's and the contrast is pretty nice. Maybe if yours go in the Rose Anemones, after a while, they may try the carpets.

good point....going to the manhattan swap this weekend so maybe I can find a nem or two :)

How come you are not going Randy? Or are you?

watch for signs of warfare.

IME haddoni will go after Entacmaea (BTA/RBTA) and kill it if possible.
Tomato clowns are a natural host of Entacmaea.
Percula are more likely to adopt the RBTA.
