my new RBTA, 1st one

Picked up a RBTA from my LFS this weekend. Had been doing some reading in the forum here and had been wanting one for about 6 months now, finally pulled the trigger. Its about 2" or so, put it in on top of my rock that you see in the picture and it slowly worked its way underneath it, which from what I read is to be expected until it gets comfortable in its new environment. Here are some pics, enjoy.

RBTA will replace this eventually.

be careful with the strawberry basket.....

when i got my rbta, he actually moved from the center of my 5foot tank to the left corner of the tank....basically a full 3-4 feet he will go where he wants to go, and by putting the bakset over it, it wont move to where it wants as far as flow etc.

That's a nice Rose ya got there. I too would sit and ooh and aah over all the beautiful anemones on this site. After hearing all the horror stories ("Yeah I had a bta once...got sucked into my koralia and the ammonia spike killed everything in my tank!") I made a point to read EVERY BIT of information I could get my hands on before getting my first RBTA.

I love the color on yours, where did you get it? When I got mine is was quite healthy, it handled the shipping really well, and it was a STEAL at $39.00, so I shouldn't complain...but it's a bit orangey-pink in color. Not the deep burgundy like yours and others I've seen.

Any clowns in the tank to host it? My black and white occelaris never showed any interest in mine, but as soon as I moved them into my 40 breeder they hosted almost immediately to my sebae anemone. It's clearly not up to us...

I only had it over it for about 30 min or so, when I first put it in the tank incase something decided to mess with it and it wouldnt attach itself to the rock, its freely moving about now.

I got it from my LFS for $129, it does have nice color, I think my current lighting setup will do it justice. The clowns you see in the pictures above are the clowns that are in my tank, its a 29 gallon tank.

The Mamma found it the first night it was in there, I havent seen them mess with it since, im not worried.
