with my purple nem doing so well. I decided to pick up a red haddoni today and also picked up a porcelein crab who found the purple nem right away. this photo was taken 30mins after he was put in my tank, but he is the same size of my purple when opened.

The crab and nem bond is wild. he looks like he is folding laundry with the tentacles

Daniel, yes I know kinda weird that a Hadonni prefers the rock. He was in the sand for a while then moved a few days after settling in and stayed there ever since.

That purple is a haddoni?? Just be careful as the mouth looks Gig'ish.. That would be why it's on a rock and not buried into the sand.

If that is the case, you will want to move those..

Yes Eric it was a find..:)

X, it is a hadonni. there are no marking to prove otherwise. I also have a purple Gig,but it is not doing so well and may not make it. I need to setup a hospital tank just hope its not too late

Don't write it off as not a gig, read through my thread about my green gig... There were a lot of doubters but in the end it was a gig with very little to no markings, veracue or colored foot.

I'm no Gig expert trust me, just saying don't count it out.... Mine had no colored foot, and the purple verracue are so faint, and still are, but most certainly a Gig on my side. Did you see the underside? The mouth looks puckered quite a bit like a Gig.

I agree, but If I had to guess, I would say that they are both hadoni. That being said
sometimes you can barely see the purple veracue on my 20 year old gigantea. they are so faint that they are rarely seen.

Hard to say, but I'd lean towards Hadoni. If it is certainly a Hadoni, they prefer to be on the sand bed by a rock, similar to how you have your Red.
