My new red haddoni

After over a year of searching, I finally found a healthy haddoni at one of the LFS near me. It is red, and so far seems healthy in my tank. The base is about 2" and the disc is about 6" when fully open. The mouth was fully closed within an hour of placing it into the tank. Pictures below:

Thanks all. I'm very happy that my clowns went into the anemone almost immediately (it was probably an hour). They don't stay in it all the time, but come in for a visit once in a while. It's like a vacation home for them. haha. hopefully they decide they like it and interact with it more often.

i am still waiting for my percula clowns to go into my carpet. they rather go to the bta. how is the aquahut store? r their prices decent?

personally, I think they have the best prices on most dry items. for example, I bought my tank and stand from them. I also buy salt from them. I feel like they're not the best with livestock, usually, but they had some beautiful haddonis and giganteas. this particular one had a mouth that was completely closed, and it looked to be really healthy, so I went for it.

I hope you treated that nem, he was in with a badly sick nem so yours most likely is sick as well just giving some advice. By the way was the two purple gigs still there or the other red one? The smaller red one was really sick it was all deflated the purple gigs looked nice but were starting to show signs of sickness. They had a large green haddoni that was deflated and its mouth was gaping so badly that it looked like..... Well I'll leave the rest for you to picture..

Well, Tuesday will be two weeks that I have it, and it looks as healthy as it did in the pics I posted, so I think i'll be ok. Obviously going to keep an eye on it, as I would with any other anemone I would add to the tank, but I don't think the LFS was a cause for concern.

Oh. You bought it only a couple of days after the store got them all in, then you had to have seen the other ones that didn't look so hot. (The green one and the other red one) well two two weeks in it doesn't look bad.. good luck with your nem especially since it was for a good price.
