I just got back from the LFS & they had my baby regal. It ate mysis like a pig in their tank. It's acclimating as I type. The best part was it was only $50.00.
Here's a pic of the little guy.
Wow, that is great and the price was excellent!!! I looked for years at many LFS and never stumbled across anything as nice as you have!! Good luck!!

I've been dealing with my LFS for almost 20 years now. I special ordered the juvi regal from them. I was originally quoted $40.00 for it. The owner was very apologetic that it was more than he thought it would be @ $50.00. I would of paid way more than that for this fish. It's only about 2" at the most.

Not only would I gladly pay $50 for one that is eating, I'd drive to Michigan from central Ohio to get it.

Very beautiful looking Regal's, I hope they all last very long. I guess you are both over the big battle of getting them to eat at least!
Here is mine, I have had him for a few weeks. I got him from my LFS and took a chance on him, he was not eating and was competing with about 20 other fish at the LFS and so they made me a offer and said if I take him now would sell for $50. I got him home and he started eating everything I would feed. He is still in QT and doing great.

BTW i have seen both yellow and grey bellys in person and i dont think the colors are bolder, Just that one has a yellow belly and one has a greyish blue belly. Also noticed that the grey belly ones have been coming in better so i hope this continues!! I would like a small female.

Mine is still doing great. It's not shy at all & continues to eat like a pig. The only complaint I have is it won't eat pellets yet. It took my bluespot at least 6 months before it started eating pellets so I guess I shouldn't worry. I'll get some more pics on Christmas day when my nephew comes over with his DLSR.

The fish is doing very well. It eats frozen brine shrimp aggressively. It is also eating PE mysis and an occasional pellot.
It has gained a fair amount of weight.
It is still in the QT.
