My new S. Gig from Live Aquaria.

This is why I learned it the hard way when we are too excited to add them straight into our tanks without QT.

#1 rule in my book always QT wether using cipro or not.
Yes he needs to be QT with cipro treatment ASAP. Good luck

I wasn't excited to add him to the DT. He looked perfectly healthy when I received him from LA Divers Den and I didn't see the need to qt him at that time.:hmm1:

I don't mind QTing anything...In fact, I enjoy it almost as much as my Display.

I'm Actually out of qt's right now. I have all my fish in 3 and the 3 new H. Mags in the other. I do have a 29/g I just put in the garage. :frog:

I like 10/g qt's. I have 3 10/g qt's (walmart $13), 20 long, 29/g, and 5/g I forgot about. I'll put him in that. :fun4:

I would treat him also

Ok...time to clean the 5/g and get it started.

Gotta put my stand on hold. Working on new stand for 20 Long qt.

Note to self: NEVER Build 3 stands at the same time. I'm worn out. :hammer:

I'm just ready to get it done. It's gonna be nice though. Finally enough qt's for everything I bring in. lol :D

Trying to find a tank, heater, powerheads, filters, etc. at the last minute sucks.

I have matching everything now and even a spare set for unexpected emergency. :bum:;)

My Petco has the $1 per gallon sale going on till the 12th. Not sure if ALL stores are. But its a chance to grab some 10s or 20s cheap.

It's a way of saying "it's built like a tank"

ohh ok, got cha...:spin3:

Yeah, it's the old trusty DIY guide here on reef central.

On my ten gallons, I used smaller wood. Not 2x4's but a little smaller. Maybe 1x2's. They are very strong and worked great.

I regret using cheap wood to skin them with. Never again. :headwally:

That stand is build like a tank. Each of the double 2X4 can take 5-600 lbs, That stand can take 2000-2500 lbs without problem. Way over built IMO.

That's what I was thinking, but I bet it's safe to say it'll never buckle. Because of the plywood, can probably take even more weight.

Yeah I agree, it is solid. Too heavy though. Love my 10/g stands! Smaller wood, and lighter.

This is the template I used for that stand. It's great, just use smaller wood.
