My New SPS Reef

Hi Guys,

The news is that I will be moving to a new house in a couple of weeks, so I did a new tank. The tank is very similar to the old one, but this time I´m going to Bare Bottom and I will increase the flow throught the tank.

Also I will use artificial rocks.

I will be moving all the corals and fishes to the new tank soon.

Best Regards

By artificial do you mean dry rock?

Also, are you going bigger or keeping with the same size with the tank? Looking forward to the new build.

Almost the same size.

This live rocks are new in the market, they are made with plastic, but they are very real, you can´t say that they are artificial.

Just to give you an idea, in the pic bellow I was testing a small piece of this rock :

Love the layout. The rocks look very real in the pics. Can you tell that they're not in person?

Will these work as well as real calcium carbonate LR in providing biological filtration?

They look very real in person too.

About biological filtration I don´t know, but I think that is possible to keep a healthy aquarium without LR . I think my siporax will do this job.

Hello Denadai,

Congrats for your tank....... amazing!!!!!!!

Do you really prefer T5s for growing and colors? What's your experience with metal halides?

Regards,

Daniel

Denadai,

This is beautiful. Congratulations. I see you are no longer using that great overflow design. May i ask why?
Also i have a few questions about the plastic rock - where can i get them? Are they heavy - will they not float without securing them?

All in all you continue to impress me very much. Thanks for your great and dedicated work!

Regards,
Dainius

Stuning! Stunning! Stunning!
what material you used for the barebottom?
I´m thinking about Barebottom for futures tanks, (with white glass bottom) and want to see how it holds (clean, coraline grow, etc.) over time in ULNS.
