My New Tank is here!!!

Thanks Nick, it's getting there. Most of my pieces are no namers, but I'm starting to add a few of the high end ones here and there.

Eventually I'd like to have the sand bed covered in Acans and Chalices.

Some fish shots. Colors in the coral are starting to come back after a week under proper intensity.

Nice fish TJ. What kind of wrasses are those? You know I like the cardinals. I would like to get about 5 of those fish.

Thanks Keith

The wrasses are a Melanurus Wrasse & a Mystery Wrasse. I ordered them from www.reefhotspot.com Both have been going nuts picking at the rocks, and every crevice all day. Exactly what I wanted them for, except I didn't know the Mystery Wrasse also was useful for pest eradication. I added a Sixline wrasse as well, but haven't seen it all day, so my guess is that it didn't make it.

The Cardinals are great too. I secretly wanted to add them to the tank, but didn't tell Laura until she decide to change her stocking plans for her little cube. I'm very surprised how bod they are. I thought the Anthias were going to give them a hard time, but don't seem to even notice them.

Your tank looks great T.J. Where did you get that clam?
Thanks Dan. I did lose a decent amount of corals to STN, and still have some dead tissue to cut away on others... but now that I was able to trace the problem back to lighting and fix it. Everything seems to be rebounding nicely.

My new Pheonix 14k bulbs and Super Actinic VHO's showed up today, so I'm hoping to get the new lighting up this weekend.

The clam came from Blue Zoo Aquatics (Clams Direct). It was a replacement for a clam I lost over a year ago due to some carnivorous snails they shipped me in error.

Looks great man. You have probably the two best wrasse' now. I just lost my blue flasher due to tile surfing, so I'm thinking of replacing him with a Mystery. I just hope that I can find one at a good price.

Love the tank , did you use anything to like purple up to enhance your coralline algae growth? also did you say how many gallons it was?

Nope, just keep my Magnesium over 1400 ppm. The tank is 40 gallons. Total system volume of 65 or 70 probably.

Purple up is a waste of money btw. There are a lot of threads on here regarding it.
