My new tank is in (the garage)

John, there are already two drilled in the back corners that came on the tank for 1" SS, they are 2". I don't know if I'm going to have time to put any up front. I may have a new idea using a VorTech pump.

Ken,
how about you just give your wife some earplugs and call it a day!!
Brent
WHAT! :D

Dude the vortechs are 345 a pop MSRP.

Forget seaswirls (although if you want 'em I can bring 2 1" to the 2/11 MASLAC)--go WAVYSEA

yeah i was thinking wavy sea too. but just wanted to see what size holes to drill first.

although i feel that the streams will overpower the seaswirl/wavysea so i dont know how well they'll do in changing the direction of the water flow

I already have two brand new 1" SS in the box, and two used 1" SS so I'm going to use what I have for now.

Did you see that next months meeting, we are going to have the wavy sea company demo one of there units? Maybe I can trade him a two for one deal :)

WOW, that's really nice! How big is that?
That cap was one of my favorite pieces in my old tank. I have a small piece for my new tank just as soon as it's ready.

So, are you going for the name change? :p

it is probably about 8" around or so. Looks very simalar to a Leng Sy, has the white polyps, nice nodal growth, and a 3/4" wide purple rim. It is under XM 10K 250W and VHO Actinics. Going to get some Reeflux 10Ks though, see how it does there. Got it from a LFS, didn't have much of a purple rim, but I knew exactly what the potential was for it. Went back the next day and got it on my lunch break before it dissapeared, althought it for some reason had been in there for 3 weeks at that point from what the owner told me. One of my favorites. The purple rim is starting to continue all the way around now, and has grown a fair bit from when I last took pictures of it. As you know, yes I am going for the name change....why haven't you changed it yet? ;)

Mine too.. I want a piece of it too..

Got water in that tank yet??:)

No water yet!

Well, my stand got bumped and didn't get sprayed today, so I will get it on Monday now. I guess it gives me time to finish cleaning the tank and getting all the plumbing parts.

Pierce, when are you or Cindy coming to town?

I duno.. Cindy will not be traveling unless it is absolutely required, the baby is pretty much attached to her.

That's the way my wife was with our first baby. Then the second one comes along and you can't run away fast enough.

That's what fish tanks and RC is for! ;)

Yes, black silicone. This has to be one of the cleanest looking tanks I have seen.
Unfortunately, It doesn't have water in it yet!

I love black silicone as well, I have a 30 oceanic cube at work (LFS) that I love how clean it looks with the black silicone. My next tank will have black silicone for sure!

Big mistake. This is the easiest time to travel with the rugrat. Once they spend more time awake and less asleep it only gets harder and harder. And once they start running around.....

Pierce, Chuck is right. Start taking your kid out now or you'll never get out.

As for my tank, some progress is being made. I picked up my stand today from the Linex shop, man I like it! Here are a few pictures before it got dark. The truck can give you an idea on how big it is.
