My new tank is in (the garage)

Gabriel,
As Brent mentioned, I was enjoying my other Hobby, RACING!! I've had an infield motorhome spot since the first race, and will always go when there is a race at the track.

I've just been two busy (and sick) to work on my tank the last few weeks with everything that's been going on. As far as working thru the night, I was doing that to get ready for the races ;)

Now tonight (Monday) I will be helping Brent tear down his tank in prep to drive for 20 hours to Texas, then if everything goes as planned, he will be setting up his tank on Wednesday.

Geez that is a heck of a tank move, gl with that. I'm not looking forward to moving my 75 10-15 minutes in the summer, let alone moving several hundred miles. You guys have fun! Hope you can make some progress on your tank at some point.

TheCoralNabber,
I'm only helping at this end, Brent's on his own in Texas.

Actually, he's already set up with a Dallas club, and Melev (Marc) is at that end. He'll make it just fine.

Getting set up with marc with be awsome, he could even set you up a new tank in 14 days, but then take a year and a half to finish the woodwork! You know he's in good hands with Marc helping him out, lucky guy.

LOL that is too funny

HAHAH. I forget if Brent was a BB guy or DSB... :D

Ken, is that tank all setup yet? I heard you were putting it up this weekend. I was gonna ask you, did you weld the stand yourself? I need to find an arcwelder sometime before this summer... You end up using the truck bed coat stuff?

Lars, yes the tank is going it Saturday, are you busy? :D

No, I didn't weld it myself, I had my welder at work do it for me.

Yes, I did use Line-x for the stand and you have to see it to appreciate how nice it is! I think this is the way to do metal stands now! Pictures are back a few pages.

haha, yea i just now went back and read the rest of the thread. I really like the stand. I've had problems with the saltwater soaking into my wood stand before, and would like to avoid it. Nice job, btw. See ya sat! :)

So far nothing! :D

Well, the tank is actually out of the garage and on the patio....waiting.......

In about an hour or so (if everyone shows up) I'll post what we accomplished.

OK, I had to go eat lunch before posting! :D

I would like to thank the people that helped my move the tank into the house first, (RC names used to protect the innocent) Bebo77, stinkyfish, wrightnow, AeroD79, tankslave, my brother in-law Jay, and my daughter for taking the pictures.

It's finally in the house!

Picked him up in front of Home Depot  Thanks for the help Gabriel.

I'm glad I have 10' doors and not 8' doors, even 5' of room almost wasn't enough. It makes moving furniture and appliances into the house easy too.
I'ts amazing how easy it was when you think about how much time it actually took the six of us to put it onto the stand. And no one lost any fingers doing it!

I am glad to see the tank in the house my friend, I have a 385g flat back paper weight if you want!! It is just laughing at me everytime I go into the garage anyways. Have you hashed out your plumbing designs? Are you going to be using Tats reflector or your old ones. I look forward to seeing that bad boy up and running, only wish I could come by and check it out in person. Well I got to get back to tipping the cows!!!
PS
I am ordering the new tank Monday!! I hope to start tearing into the wall tomorrow, ya just hate breaking such a pretty new wall!!!
Oh what the hell, we will do anything for this hobby!!!!!
Your Friend,
Brent Higa
aka the Japanese Cowboy!!!
Yee Hawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!

Japanese Cowboy Now that's just funny

I started playing with plumbing last night and need to pick up some wood for the back of the stand. I need something to anchor the plumbing to since I'm using flex from the tank down to stand level, I don't want to hang all that weight on the fittings coming out of the tank. Should have some of it done today.

So what size and type of tank did you order?

looking good Ken. i'm slowly filling my tank now(been about 3 days now) my RO unit is sooo slow. hahah cant wait to see yours set up. sorry i couldnt help.
