My new tank.

Rainbow acan has been traded to PROP. You'll probably have to wait a while for a frag to show up at one of the auctions.

idk, they may be adding different supplements to that tank that we don't. Ask them what they dose next time you go in.

Tank looks like its filling in nicely :) . Im diggin the BareBottom, very cool!

FWIW my Granulosa is up high in light and flow and it has blue tips. I also got it from PetsInc, but when i asked Kristen if it was an actual frag of theirs, she said no. :rolleye1: They look identical as far as i can see though.

Vodka seems to be working nicely. Nitrates have come down from 20ppm to 5ppm over two months time. Not bad. To celebrate, I thought i'd take some pictures. :)

thats a pretty awesome tank. I was wondering if you'd share your "process" i guess i can say for dosing vodka? or a link where i can learn how to do it. My tank is high in nitrates as well but i do regular water changes and i have good skimmers too. so i'd like to try the vodka as well, as i like fat fish also haha thanks.

Your tank looks great. What made you decide to go bare bottom insted of the black sand? Were there any draw backs to the black sand for you?

What is this coral?

Thanks. I took the sand out because I am moving very soon. Just makes it easier. I really like the bare bottom now tough. I don't have any real negative things to say about the black sand. It looked nice and stayed in place pretty well in high flow. FWIW I had Natures Ocean black sand. I don't like caribsea's version. I'll probably use white sand the next time though.

I added a blue ric to the pile.

The next pictures I post will be in the new house. I can't wait to have white sand again....

very nice! what light do you have again?

Btw I found out that to get the bluish tip on the granulosa... it have to be growing. Pet Inc Granulosa is greenish body but w/ bluish growth and purple tip.... mine still encrusting
