Ok heading to my Lfs in a little while and just maybe walk out with a mate..so is it possible to put another true perc from the same family ,I believe they are because they're all in the same tank..
So didn't happen yesterday but to this morning went to a different fish store and they had some listed as tr true percs aswwell a lot smaller some they're from two different batches.when first introduced it was all good but then of course the chasing began and kind of weird bug the smaller one is being the bully...
So my other perc seemed to have a scratch in its side seems white don't really know what it is but hope it goes away .. I really hope it's not ich..so what you do you guys think..oh yea didn't take the bra either :hammer:
I agree it's an ocellaris. If it were me and I wanted a true Percula but was sold anything else I'd return it for what I wanted. But yes, they'll be fine together once the pecking order is decided.
The sales person either lied to you or doesn't know the difference between Percula and Ocellaris.
Really glad to hear others having the same mix with success and to be honest my pair seems quite happy for now ..Orion thanks for advising on getting another one ASAP..the perc actually seems a bit happier now..
What I observe so far is that they sleep around the same top left corner throughout the day the perc just hangs out in the bottom left of the tank next to someushrooms..the male misbar seems a bit more active he will ocassionaly five in the frogspawn but seems to hang next to the perc throughout the day..everything is all good for now
You're absolutely right it's part of his body it's gone for now so we'll see..can it cure on its own?
Ok found my receipt and it was sold to me as occy/perc..ok so does that mean its a hybrid or does it mean they had percs and occys mixed in the same tank..I would call the Lfs and see but quite happy so far with the outcome
