Hey guys I'm so exited I just got a new zebra eel for my 92 fowlr I was just wandering will he be able to love in there his while life my dad has a 300 if I have to put him in there but I want him in my tank he is in there with a flame angel and 2 clownfish tanks
 
His full size is 3-4ft and about 2-3inchs in diameter. A 90 maybe too small for a full size zebra eel. Mine did not reach full size until he was about 6 years old.
 
Is your tank a FOWLR or a reef? They mostly hang out, so generally speaking space isn't their issue, it's water quality. How big is the eel now?

Mine is about 2.5' and I think it would be a bit cramped in a 92 if it gets bigger than it is now - I would say once it hits the 2.5'-3' range you will want to move it to your Dad's tank. They produce so much waste when they get to this size you are better off with more water volume.

I would encourage you to bury some PVC tunnels for it if you haven't already - just make sure you use 2" PVC - I used 1" PVC and he has never been able to enter them.
 
Awesome I have one that is 27 inches and I placed a 3 inch PVC in there and he loves it... The best part is he doesn't bother anyone at all he's with a flame angel and a damsel
 
He's 21 inches and yes it's a fowlr after the cherish the cherish wa from a power outage I have back ups now and it's his own tank expet a pair of clown fish the tank is about feet long
 
Sorry five feet long I just measured it no pic don't have a camera I am going to change it back into a reef with sorrels and suggestions I also have a lot of live rock he hangs out in and I have a huge ssump it my dads old one before he upgraded hpefully he will max out a 3 feet thanks guys your the best
 
The only water quality problem I have is a clean up crew I had died so I have some nitrite but I'd did a 100 percent wc to day I had already order my fish when I came home and found them dead how long until the nitrite clears up in am running carbo in a canister filter
 
He died while I was out of town ammonia spike after I added what I thought was cured live rock I now have a new tank with a skeletor moray eel and I love it
 
Actually I haven't lost a fish ever since I set up my new tank so thanks for the rude comment I actually had a dieses in the water and an equipment fail while I was out of town.
 
Sucks. I lost my yellow headed moray this weekend. Found it on the floor and I have tops on my tank. Was big too
 
About a month I have had them in qt and the 300 was at the hospital where he worked in the waiting room he has sinse moved so no more tank but he pretty much chose the fish when he got there it was a wreck and we helped out on it.
