My new favorites. The zoo's whited out by the light are pink with green skirts. The secound rock with the silver w/green skirts in the back was my favorite.

You dont see all that many bare bottom zoanthid tanks. You outta try and get them to cover the entire bottom.

oh that would be so rad. It would be like grass. only worth much more. do it do it:eek1:

those look very nice. what kind of lighting do you have them under?

is that a tomini tang in the pic??

The lighting is a 400w se geisman(sp) 14k ona a pfo hqi ballast.

The tank is a 50gal with a 30"x18" base.

The tang is an atlantic blue. He sarted changing from yellow to blue a couple of weeks ago.

Very nice!
Keep a close eye on those orange and green mixed zoanthids you have there.
9 out of 10 times the wild collected colonies of that coloration are the ones that will have sundials or nudis on them if you suddenly find them in your tank.
They seem to hit orange 1st.
The sundials are easy to pick out but the nudis take on an orange coloration or what ever coloration of zoanthid they are feeding on.

i have a 150w giesman 14k on a pfo hqi ballast over a 29g. but i'm not getting the color that you are........ yours look great!! maybe i need to up my wattage.....

i like the tang, i've actually been thinking about an atlantic blue but i heard they can be a little agressive...
have you had any problems with him??

He is the only fish in the tank. I have a 140 fish tank and this is my coral tank. The more light the better. I thought that a 1000w would be a little too much.

And I have had my share of nudi's and only one sundial. I use TMP coral dip and dip very four days for two weeks if I see a nudi. I have been nudi free for 4 mounths.

Thought I would give an update.

Thought I would give an update.

I was able to find my old tank thread after much searching, so I thout I would show it off.

Full tank shot with now a 20K helios that I love.

It's nice to see updated threads. You had some good growth over the months especially the RPE's. How long have you had the PPE? It would be nice to see an update shot of it in few months.

Loving the barebottom look! Those are some awesome strain of RPEs... That picture with zoas on urchin is my favorite! lol great pictures.

I got the PPE in October. I got three polyps. I was up to about 8, but my candy cane fell on the colony and then they got a fungus. It was the only polyp that was saved. I am glad that one made it.
