My Newest Reidis

The store was unable to order by size and these are only very small.
Tails straight, from tip of tail to top of head about 2 3/4" to 3 1/4".
They are VERY expensive here in Canada even at that small size so I would imagine the medium and large would be a heck of a lot more so.
Asking price in Canada for reds is $189 to $199 depending on where you buy.
For orange, between $139 and $159

I would guess so, but this store when they bring in seahorses, they bring in a lot anyway.
When he brings in ones from Seahorse Sanctuary, I have been there afterwards and there would be at least 100 and not knowing how many already were sold.
I suspect this order was for about 100 also.

Sure are. I don't buy any seahorse that doesn't eat frozen.
The only ones I have that don't eat frozen are the ones I raise, at least, until I get them trained to frozen.

what do you feed them ? do you enrich the frozen food in anything ?
they look really nice and cute lol

I feed them frozen brine and frozen mysis three times a day but one day a week I feed them gut loaded live brine shrimp.
I gut load them with 3 different products, Algamac 3050, Algamac ProteinPlus, and Dan Underwoods own blend from seahorsesource.com.

wow nice, 3 times a day, I gotta start doing that too.

another question, sorry :) but do they accept the live brine ? do you let the brine grow full size first ? my reidi's just ignore the newly hatched ones :S

Yes, I grow them out to adult, and they have no problem in eating them. In fact, they go a little crazy compared to eating frozen foods.
Larger seahorses have no interest in prey as small as newborn. Save those for the fry.
