Still trying to get used to this new camera

i just got those first ones earlier this week, talked the owner of LFS into selling them to be from his personal display

What type of camera are you using? Those are some pretty nice shots for someone who's getting used to his camera.

;)

What type of lighting do you have on your tank? Your Zoas are pretty good looking.

the camera is a Canon A620, the pics look better scaled down to 800x600 like the ones i posted, they look like crap at full res
I am using 250w halides, 14K bulbs

3rd picture. Orange Bam Bams. :)

Ahh, yes, i really like those.. awesome colors.. i just wish they would start to spread, been the same for about 4 months now

Mine were stagnant for the longest time and then recently have starting adding polyps like crazy. I have no clue what started the growing spurt.

Awesome Zoa's!!! I too have bam bams and they JUST started to spread. I have ~6 new polyp heads that I can see coming out! Yay!

i have a question not zoa related, but related to something in your second pic. what are those little flower like things, in between your polyps and around them. they are pink and single polyp. I have them growing on the edge of one of my acan lord colonies and don't know what they are thanks.

they are some sort of brown star polyp and they are a royal PIA. they spread rapidly and try to take over some corals.
Make sure that they are in a spot where they cant spread, i am sure they wont mess with the lord though, the lord will sting them and keep them in check
