My Opinion on Tunze....

I received a new pump from Roger since there was some electrical problems with my old one & this was done within a week!

This is the Best Company I have ever deal with & I am extremely happy with the pumps & Tunze's customer service. You guys are the BEST!
Customer Service is A++ I am glad I switched everything to Tunze & there is no doubt I will always buy Tunze products & recommend them.

Only issue is my older pumps are mismatched now & I noticed the flow if lower & switching on the older pumps is noticeably louder than the newer one, does changing the impeller or any bushing help?

My standards on Customer service is so high now & I feel I will compromise on what others offer.

Thank you so very much Roger for maintaining a great customer relation & building such a high threshold on satisfaction.

You might just check that the 6101 pump is clean, the flow shouldn't be that much more, a 6101 at 24V does 3200gph and a 6105 at 18V does 3400gph, make sure you installed the 18V jumper or else you are overdriving the 6105 and it can harm the pump long term.

Roger,

So I have it correct, the 6105 needs to run with the 18v jumper and the 6205 runs with the 24v jumper installed?

Tony

tegee- Correct

boboxx- The 6105 used a 42mm prop and 24V jumper when first released until Feb 09, so about October 08- Feb 09. We then found we could keep the same flow and reduce noise by using a 45mm prop and 18V jumper, bigger prop spinning slower.

Roger,

How do I know if I have the 42mm prop or the 45mm prop? I can not remember when I received the pump?

Also, I have a 24v and an 18v power supply. The cords were bundled up all nice and neat, so I did not know which power supply was hooked to which pump....sorry?

But I do believe I was lucky enough to have them plugged in properly. My question is if I had them both only running at 80% could I have done damage to the 6105 if the 24v supply was plugged in accidentally?

Thanks, Tony

24V can only damage the pump if you have the 45mm prop and it is jammed, in normal use it only results in excessive noise. The props have a number stamped in the center it will be 42 or 45 for a 6105.

Roger,
When I received the replacement 6205 from you it only came with the pump. I am still using the 6101 power supply with the 24v jumper.....is this ok to run with this power supply configuration or do I need to upgrade the power supply to match the 6205???

tegee, I don't follow, a 6205 would have been sent as a replacement for a 6201, which should have had the correct larger power supply to begin with. Can you PM me your info so I can look up the record.
