Hello Live Aquaria!

I received my Blue Line Angel earlier this week. He is doing very well in the QT. THe first day I got him he ate a few mysis shrimp. But now is not eating them. He acts hungry, and when I walk into the room, he swims up to me. He even bites at the waters surface. But he will not eat mysis, NLS Pellets or flake. I guess he is just a picky fish. What should I try?

WHat was he eating at the facility?

Thank you for your post. We are happy to hear the Angel is acclimating to its new home. The Blue Line Angel you received was eating Spirulina Brine Shrimp, Aqueon Marine Pellets, ORA Marine Pellets, PE and Hikairi Mysis Shrimp, and Dried Seaweed while at our Aquaculture Coral & Marine Life Facility. It is possible the Angel will just need a couple more days to finish acclimating to your tank and to start eating more foods. Well I have been trying every food that I have. I cannot get this fish to eat. I am not really sure why he will not take foods. He still acts like he is hungry. He swims to me, and bites at the water surface. But once the food enters the tank,,,,, nothing.

Thank you for the update on your Angelfish. We ask that you continue to offer the fish different types of foods so it may continue to acclimate. It can take some time for the fish to begin eating normally if it did not handle the stress of the shipment well. At this time we have documented your customer file to reflect how the fish is responding. Please continue to keep us posted of its progress.
