my package arrived

I received a call this morning from Richard letting me know my first half of the package had shipped. Thanks Richard!

About 30 minutes later, I found out I had to fly across the country for an unexpected meeting. This left my wife with the responsibility of picking up and setting up my sand and rocks.

She called me a few minutes ago as she was attempting to empty the sand. She enlisted one of the neighborhood kids to pick up the rocks (she wouldn't touch them), and also told me she would only stir the phone with a spoon.

There was quite a bit of screaming when she unearthed "an eel" and she has reported seeing several snails, worms, barnicles, crabs, clams, and octopus and other unidentifiable creatures.

I'm trying to walk her through a water change and ammonia testing...wish me luck.


I get home tomorrow night...I can't wait

oops...I meant stir the sand with a spoon.

we were probably on the phone an hour tonight as she kept noticing new critters and tried to give me a "play by play" of what I was missing.

she did send me a few photos with her cell phone camera. the rock looks great, interesting shapes and many colors
