I tested my tank today and this is what it reads:

Ammonia 0

Hanna Nitrite ULR reading is 16 and says to multiply by 3.29 so can it be 52.64?

Am I doing this kit correctly? the Hanna is ppb so I need to convert it by multiplying by 3.29 to get ppm.

Ok tested ammonia tnt and now it's between .50 and 1. I am thinking one of the sponges is decaying so maybe that's why? I guess need to due emergency water change tnt. Thoughts?

yeah i would defiantly do a water change. try not to add anything else until your ammonia reads 0 then you get nitrite and then nitrite reads 0 then you should get some nitrate. once you have 0 ammonia and 0 nitrite your tank is cycled.

I do a 10% water change weekly regardless of params. Helps to replenish trace elements for corals. But, I've read that a lot of people do 20% every two weeks. For my tank, 10% is pretty much one 5G pale so that's easy for me.
