I will have to remember this I lost two 5gal buckets because I ran out of RG complete and did not want to pay for two day shipping so I tired phytoplankton and they ended up crashing.
Ya I'm hanging in there, I've got a wife with the same thoughts. But my daughter is into it. Saturday night we were able to get about 15 or so when they hatched. So now I've got two fry tanks going, been a cool science project for my daughter 4 1/2 year old and I ( just a big kid at heart 45). The parents laided more eggs Sunday thinking just let nature take its course until we can get the two batches grown up. :fish2:
Man you guys seem to have fast growers. I have about a dozen that are
14dayish old and I think they are just now going threw meta. starting to turn a little orange and starting to swim like a fish. What temp do you guys keep your fry tank at? Living in Florida I have not been using a heater and the temp in all my tanks stay between 77 to 80 degs. Also had a heater fail once, little gun shy now.
thanks i'll have to try that on the second batch that i have hatch on sunday. I'll leave the first batch like they are and see what happens. What a trip this is and you guys with all the cool pics and videos keep me going. I've tried to take some pics they just don't come out wrong lenses i guess.
I've been following along and you guys have been giving great ideas. I half to admit that I did brake one tank trying to drill it like you have so I can hook the fry tank into the main tanks water system. That looked to be a great way to keep the fry tanks water in check. I'll try the wife Iphone for a few pics.
Hey when did u start feeding regular food for good? I've been giving a mixture but I want to going to more regular. They have been eating some frozen, flake, small pellets smashed, and chroma boast A.
