My plumbing plans??

Tell me what you guys think and i have some questions as well...

I wil be purchaseing a 46g Bow tank from hans( thanks again ) and i wanted to do the plumbing for a 20g long tank underneath...

Now some of my questions are this ...

If i drill a hole thats 1.5 '' would that work with a 1'' inch bulk or how does that work...????

Heres the diagram i have...tell me what you guys think..!!!

It all depends on the bulk head that you want to use. The cheap ones require a smaller hole than the heavy ones. Do you have the BH already? And is this a glass tank? I would sugest that you take the BH with you to find a drill bit.

Check to see that it is not tempered before you drill, or you may just need another tank. Talk to Rod at Rod's Reef, he drills tanks.

A 1" bulkhead will require atleast an 1 3/4 hole. I'll be drilling about 4 of those this week for my new set up. If you have any other questions you can ask me, or you can ask the teacher(Rod). BTW if you want to do it yourself highly recomend diamond hole saws. You can get them extremely cheap from this guy in Hong Kong. I got 14 hole saws for about $105.

o ok so about 3/4''inch bigger a hole to fit...and yes it is a AGA and im not sure if the bottom is tempered...
