My poor blue hippo

Sounds irresponsible to me, to not quarantine. Saying it's not a big deal if you lose three or four fish? Seems like you shouldn't be in the hobby with that careless attitude for living organisms.

Taking fish out of the ocean, putting them in a box, shipping them across the globe, knowing a lot of them aren't going to make it to the store, some die in the store, so we can stick the few that make it in a glass box for a few years until they die for our enjoyment is not being irresponsible or careless?
I have never had a problem in the few years I didn't QT my fish. It is the best I can do at the moment until I move. It's been over four years and I only swapped out six fish because of size, one at a time all my fish are fine and the world didn't come to an end. It almost did for me...
As I stated above; when I move, I will have the space and time and money to get my QT back up and running, it is not a priority at the moment nor can I do it. There just isn't space and I am already overloading the panel in this crappy apartment. I got to do with what I got. My QT system was a 40 gallon tank with live rock a refugium and a skimmer. I never had to medicate any of my fish when I had it up and running in my old house. The QT system is now in storage. If you seen what I have gone throughout in the past five years you would wonder why I didn't throw the rock coral and fish and the system in the trash dumpster, I didn't have time to sell it and I didn't want to give it away. If I did I would be better off then I am now. I'm almost on my feet again.
Yes I have a lot in this hobby, have been doing it for a long time and I have a lot of old corals that are nice.
I was almost homeless and jobless. I have a five hundred dollar car a one bed apartment with roaches and worn out clothes.
I didn't give up the hobby even when I should have. I'm happy I didn't. I can afford a QT now, I even have one, I just don't have the space unless I ditch the TV. LOL. Maintenance came out and checked my panel and told me I'm pulling too much and overloading the panel my QT may be a fire waiting to happen. This is why I am swapping halides for LEDs not only that but so I can save more money and eat now and then.
