Well, everyone say PA is do good. Maybe they are usually. I made my first order with them last Thursday. Simple order: 1400mL Kent Aquadose, 15oz DT's Phyto, and a 400w 6500k VERTICAL Iwaski bulb. I paid extra for the TWO day shipping.
Well, yesterday I had not recieved my order. I figured, hmm, ordered Thursday, ok Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday that's at least two days right? Well I call PA from my work. An unenthused (sp?) and confused person named Missy answers. First she can't find my order. Then she says they don't stock the Iwaski 400w Vertical bulb and it isn't on their website.
It's the sixth one down:

She tells me they'll have to drop ship it from the manufacturer and it will take a week. Okay, I guess that will have to work.
Five minutes later, my wife calls me from home. Missy has just called her and asked to speak to me. My wife says I am not home. Missy tells her,"Well he has to be I just talked to him not five minutes ago on the phone!" My wife was offended. She puts up enough with my reef nonsense, she doesn't need rude people yelling at her on the phone. Well my wife tells me that PA wants to know do I want the vertical or horizontal Iwaski 400w, and that I need to call Missy.
I call Missy. She asks did I mean to order the vertical? Yes I tell her. She says I must be mistaken because you can't order it from the website (refer to above link). I'm tired of her, so I ask to speak to Jason, he always seems like he is able to straighten stuff out and satisfy a customer. She says I can't because he is in his office. I guess the phone cord doesn't reach to his office or something.
Then she tells me,"Oh we shipped your order out Monday, it will be there tomorrow (today, Sept 26th)" I think to myself, "ok so you shipped me a bulb you don't stock?" I thank her and let it go.
Well, today I get a shiny new HORIZONTAL bulb. It just won't work vertically. It lights, but I am worried about safety and longevity. Also it casts a circle shaped shadow right in the middle of my tank. I guess I'll try to call Jason tomorrow.

PS to add insult to injury (this part is not PA's fault) Airborne Express delivered my package to my neighbor's house. I just moved here and don't know all my neighbors. I felt pretty dumb walking door to door asking strangers if they have gotten a package for me.
