It's Fish Vet 37% Formaldehyde, I've been following the bottle directions @ 1 drop/gal every other day. If the eggs are on the fish, how do I ever get rid of them?
De Los kills fluke eggs and flukes. You could also do a FW dip to determine if there are any flukes on him, they'll come right off after 4 or 5 minutes in FW.
And there is the problem:sad2: The marine flukes we, as hobbyists, typically deal with, neobenedenia, lay eggs that hatch within 4-6 days at 25 degrees celsius. So theoretically, you should be able to retreat 6 days later and kill off the larvae before it has time to become an adult and lay its' own eggs.
When you add the drop/gallon every other day are you doing a water change before hand? How long has he been in the bath?
I was doing frequent w/c the first few weeks of formaldehyde treatment because I thought I had ammonia, turns out it was a bad (brand new) Salifert test kit. Only the past 5 days I've been dosing Formalin bi daily with no water changes. I'm not seeing the fish developing any new symptoms, so this may be working. Wondering how long I should continue treatment before I give it a break and see how the fish does?
I'd also like to include a special thanks to Newsmyrna80, bnumair, caribfan, HumbleFish & SDguy. When good things go badly I don't want to reinvent the wheel, so thank you for sharing your experiences and knowledge with me.

This morning I found a spastic Muelleri in the basement, it's exactly day 4 off Formalin and it seems eggs hatched. For the record, my temp is 78.8F. I don't think the 17 days of Prazipro eradicated anything, for now I consider treatment to have been 23 days of Formalin and that obviously wasn't enough. Any feedback? I could set up a new QT for him to theoretically lose some eggs. I prefer a longer treatment with Formalin to a stressful treatment with De Los.
