My quest for scotch

I'll be taking pictures of my bar soon, but the colors of the scotch (while very good), are not quite where they should be yet. We will discuss Highlands, Lowlands, Speysides, Islay, The Islands and Campbeltown. We will discuss, with pictures the progression and growth of these fine whiskies in my bar.

Ok, then. Here is a favorite of mine. A Japanese blended 12 yr whisky called Hibiki. It is aged in casks that held a plum liquor so it has a bit of a fruity taste.



For single malts I love Lagavulin 16 and Balvenie Doublewood. Mmmmm.

Or an ice cold Wei beer in a tall glass. whatever I'm not picky.

Lagavulin 16 has been a mainstay here for several years Always neat, never diluted with water unless cask strength and then only spring water

I have a Bottle of that it is quite nice. I fact they are sending up a couple bottles to the space station I read someplace. Japan are freaks about their whiskey and typically the top three whiskeys in the world every year come from j they are sending up a couple bottles of the space station.
