Literally one hour ago when I saw him he was fine and then I saw him Looking like this with my fish still swimming in him so I put a bottle top around it with the cap off. Any suggestions on what to do?

This is how he normal is. Thanks

He's fine. Leave it alone. Take the bottle off of it. It is going thru it's natural cycle thing. They inflate, they deflate, it's all part of being an anemone. As long as it's still stuck to a rock, it is alive and well. When it lets go and tumbles around the tank in the current, that's when you need to start worrying.

+1

If it looks deflated for more than 4 hours, then you may want to worry. Otherwise, they just do it. To change their internal water, to "poop" after they have digested a meal... It's all good usually.

I have raised and sold many rbta's over the past few years...nothing seems wrong with it in the pics you've provided. Do not place a bottle over the anemone, simply let it be. They will switch from deflated to inflated bubble tips when your light changes and when you feed them. If the foot is attached, then it is in pretty good shape. It may move around from time to time to get light, or move out of high flow areas.

Thanks, Steve

Thanks for the replies everyone. The anemone is fine now. I know it deflates and inflates but this time it was different. It basically shriveled up and the inside turned to a dark purple. It was about 1/8 it's usual size when I first saw it (a third of the size it was in thr first picture) and the clown was really rough with it. That was my only concern. I took the bottle off the next day as I saw it began to turn back to red vs the dark inside. Thanks
