My RBTA splits but then stop halfway???

One of my rose bta started to split and then just stop halfway so now it is not completely split and just been like that for a week now. My marroon keep pulling the imcomplete splitting part when she visited and doing her house cleaning. Anyone has any ideas or been through this? I can't take any pics of it because it is in the middle of 2 big live rocks. Thanks Brandon

I've read and know that some people take matters in their own hand and cut it but I honestly don't know the proper way or capable of doing it. I love all my livestocks and don't want to do anything that could hurt them.

my marrons are always being "aggression" to my RBTAs too, which they really "squeeze" it to make it into the shape they want, the only thing i can think of is either take out the marrons, so make some kind of sheild to cover your RBTA, and wait for couple days, if it's still the same, then you should probably cut it...
