My wife and I just renewed our membership to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. For us it is the best $80 we spend every year.

Anyways, here are about 60 or so shots from our last trip. Enjoy and let me know what you think!

They look better at full size though so I'll post a few here...

I should probably post that I took these with my Panasonic FZ8... dont think I have mentioned that yet.

Thank you edwing! Those cylinders are new since my last trip there a year or two ago and I really did enjoy them. The leather and the cap were each a couple feet across... really quite beautiful.

Wow, the pictures are unbelievable! That tank towards the end of the roll looks fantastic. I can't imagine standing in front of it and having to look up to see the surface! Might as well be scuba diving. :eek1:

Where is this place!?!?

The Aquarium of the Pacific is in Long Beach, Ca. Thanks for the compliments!

That tank is about 30 feet tall I believe and there are actually scuba divers that go in there and can talk to the crowd and all that. Its pretty cool. There is a pair of giant black sea bass in there and some barracudas and skates and things like that. Basically a recreation of a pacific kelp forest.
