my red sea hob prism skimmer

I have a 55 gallon tank and using a prism hob skimmer. what experiences do you guys have with this skimmer? Where does the plastic tube go to? the tube at where the water is sucked in. THese past few days, it's been sending out alot of mirobubbles. dont know what wrong..help me out..

One tube connect is for priming. You'll see the water flow heavy.
Then switch to the other and you'll hear and see more air bubbles
Then adjust.
I personally didn't like mine. Constant adjusting

Which one is for priming? the left or the right. And which one should i leave it on?

the right one is the air side the left is for primming,i have one on my 25 gallon fo tank and i love it let me tell you a little mod i did i took i took the air line from the skimmer body and installed a air flow adjuster valve and left the right side of the colluction cup not attached,thing skimes like crazy

so you attached the air line tube to a valve? That means there will be no tube connected to the top correct? Have a pic of it?

you got it take the 2-3"long clear plasatic tube and attach it to the intake part on the ait tube connector,and put the air adjustment valve on the other end so NO tube is attached to the collection cups right side,i know it sound like it wont work but it does,how long have you had the skimmer? let it do a brake in period for about a week

had for bout a year now..i cleaned n then started to bubble...not quite sure what you mean though...

prizm skimmer on a 55gal.. tangov559 your problems are just starting!! Has it starting leaking yet?? I had a tough time with my prizm for 3 months till i replaced it with an ASM.
