My Reef after 1 year of evolution

You and me both.....I only have the stock lens on my Olympus DSLR...no macro here either :(

Really like this acro !

I also like this SPS. I bought with the denomination of Acropora True Pink Lemonade, but i don't know.
My machine is a Canon EOS 7D and only with a lens 18 /135 mm. With that lens I get to do some good pictures, but it's far away from the excellent quality of a lot of pictures of the forum.

Does the Sohal behave?

Thank you very much for the praise!

Sohal is the owner of the aquarium and nobody fight with him. This fish has more than 20 cm, then it's difficult try something.

Wow, you have a really nice collection there!! Beautiful tank! Keep up the good work. I have a standard 90g and kind of wish I had a 6'+ tank which really is much more appealing to the eye...IMO. Guess I need to start a new project....:spin1:

One of the most inspirational tanks I have ever seen & what an incredible selection of corals you have - thank you for sharing

Amazing shots, what camera are you using and what settings on when taking pictures of full tank shots?I can never get nice picture of FTS.

This tank is crazy! Great Job!

Beautiful tank!
How well do the dispar (?) and square spot anthias get along?
Hello elegance coral,
Thanks for this words.
I just have one Anthias square and it's leader. The times there is a foray, but anything that really scares.

Hello mark54321,
Thank You !
My camera is a Canon EOS 7D and it possesses only a lens 18-135 mm. actually I am terrible photographer and I have to give several shots to get a reasonable picture.
To beat a FTS, I maintain a distance of about 13.12 ft (4 meters) to get to frame all my tank. Then, I adjust the machine for the manual way and I place ISO in 100 and I regulate the opening and speed in agreement with the brightness that I want to give the picture.
It would be more or less that, in my case. Attempt and mistake or success.
I hope you have understood my terrible English.
Best Regards!

+1 ,FTS is a hard one for me too

Hi tntneon,
I tried to explain in the best way to our friend mark54321.
I wait that it helps you, or better, that understands my text. :spin2:

Believe me your not a terrible photographer !!!
nice shots.
If you use ISO 100 , do you use a tri pod ?
Because if i want to shoot ISO 100 , my shutterspeed is 1/3 second (or something in that range) when using F4.0 diafragm opening.
If i try to do that manual , it's all blurry :hmm4:

Hi tntneon,
Forgives for the delay in the reply, but I´m very busy with my office. Yes, I photograph with ISO 100, but without tri pod. I shot holding the machine with the hands. My Canon must use these same parameters that you write.

Sorry for not informing the correct parameters that I used to give the shot. It´s as I spoke before"¦ I´m beginning and obtain good shots in the luck, let us say thus.
Best Regards!
