My reef lobster got an eviction notice

yesterday. I added my Multibar angel to the tank w/ my "not-so small any longer" scribbled. Multibar was getting chased by the scribbled for a while & I watched the multi jump right in to the lobsters cave. Lobster snapped @ the multi a few times & then laid itself down in front of it!???

All of the sudden the lobster starts to come out to get it & I let a out a few expletives lol ... I grabbed my tongs & scared him back into his hole & the multi swam away unharmed.

I don't understand this behavior other than it was acting "submissive"? Needless to say I took most of the rock out & caught the RL & put him in a tank set up in the basement. I don't trust him & the fact the multi doesn't know to avoid him.

That is what Reef Lobsters do. Should be no surprise.

Yup agree completely & not suprised, but was suprised that my 1" rock beauty didn't become a meal first.

why the angel "presented" itself for the taking laying directly in front of the lobster was interesting & nerve racking.
