My rimless 24"x24"x20" build thread

The only negative thing I will say about the tank is that the holes that they drilled are massive! Yes I know they are for schedule 80 fittings, which is great, but does a tank this size, or any we all regularly use for this hobby, really need a 2" drain?!?!

But it's entirely my fault as I didn't specify the hole size when the tank was ordered.

Wow your setup is really sweet! Just think you will always have the option to setup a Dart on a closed loop with that 2" hole.

It's finally on the stand!

Update

Well, it's done. I got everything installed and now it's time to start putting coral and fish in.

So far I'm really loving the starboard. It's so easy to cleanup the detritus that has fallen from the rocks, and it's really easy to see why the sand beds get so dirty, so fast!

Here are the pictures. It took me a while to get the rocks the way I liked them, still not 100% sure this will be the way they stay, but so far it's working out.

I also added 2 Koralia 2's to the back corners of the tank. I noticed there wasn't a lot of water movement back there and since adding these, that issue has been resolved.

Top notch.

Did you end up putting a Radium bulb in there? I've been looking at them very closely.

you should just start building custom aquarium cabinets. nice stand.

He's been doing that for a couple of years now. The LFS keep their vendors (for good reason) to themselves. :)

Chris,
Your tank is already looking awesome, great work... You going sps on this one? Can't wait to see that tank once you get corals in there!
Thanks,
Perry
