my sand

dos anyone know abotu southdown sand, a friend is goving me some to swithch out my crushed coral bed, he has it in his tank, and im sure its fine, anyone else have it?

Many many many people on here use it. Its some real hard stuff to find now so take it while you can get it.

Take your time switching it out. I did the crushed coral/Southdown switcheroo and it took me several weeks. A cup here and a cup there. Do you want to send me a few bags since I helped you out?? I'll pay shipping.

When I did mt switch over I just took everything out including the water and did it all at once. If you do it that way, before you put water back in place a trash bag over top of the sand and then add the water. This will help keep the sand storm down.
