Keeping fresh clams on hand is a pita and smelly, But worth it for this guy.

I keep a dz in a 6g tank and run airstone with WC every week. All it takes is one dead one and the whole tank smells. I keep them for two weeks before feeding them to fish.

Very Handsome Angel Creetin!

My Scribbled was sort of a ficky eater at first but after about 2 weeks he started accepting Algae from clips soaked in Garlic. Now he is the first in line as soon as I put the clip in the tank.

He also likes Formula Two Flakes and NLS pellets. There are alot of foods he will NOT accept but Seaweed, formula 2 flakes and NLS pellets (thera A); he is all in.

Hope yours gets greedy soon!:bum:

Thanks all, he was picking at some algae flake food. He tested a pellet today and didnt spit it out. the problem is the pellet was the small nls so i dunno if he even tasted it. LOL

Good news he is eating frozen clam meat, and now taking to some mash i make for the others. He did hold out the longest out of all the fish i have. The dad news is he is eating zoa's and palys now. LOL

is it in the 300gal? if so thats awesome, youll get true colors and behavior in a big tank like that. angels really perk up when given alot of space.

Yes he is in the 300, He is king of the tank, But he is pretty mellow for a large angel.
All he cares about is his food. No one can get near the clam meat till he is full, and thats onlt because he eats so aggressive.
I would like to try a female with him, If I see one on dd tonight I may get her.

ive noticed, with what i said, that being king of the tank applies to better color too. man, they just shine when they rule

He is a brute, but atleast i can trust him with many corals i could not with my emps and majestics.
The DD female last night was too big. I need one about 3-4 inches.

Call the Trop! Not sure if they still have her (haven't been for a month or so), but they had had a gorgeous ~4" female there for months in one of the vats! Was eating basically right out of my hand...

Thanks, The tank has been taking a back seat to my new pool and deck along with some home improvements.
Maybe by the winter i can resume my fish husbandry as much as i like to.
Update he is eating the mash i make up pretty good, But since the food is so fine i would need to dump it in by the handfulls to let him get his fill.
I do feed him frozen clam meat which he is eating very well so he gets his fill.
Still no pellets, But he will eat some algae flakes. Still not enough to fill his endless hunger. He destroyed all the rest of my zoa's and palys. I expected that though.
Heres a pic of him swimming around patrolling the tank for food. ;)
Having a little diatom outbreak with some bak additions i have been dosing. Hae to cut back on that.

this thread has inspired me! The scribbled is awesome - hopefully I'll have one soon - thanks for sharing. I want more pics

Thanks all, He has been a pita to get eating and required alot of tlc at first. Now that its over he is the centerpiece fish of my tank. I can hand feed him and he wants to munch on my fingers as well, Him and my sohal will rip food out of my hands.
If tou have the proper tank and can give one a try i highly reccomend it. H uses every square inch of the tank and is always seen.
