My sexy shrimp are afraid of my pods....

I have a small sexy shrimp and anemone tank set up with no fish. I've been feeding the sexys small 1mm NLS pellets sparsely to avoid polluting the tank. Whenever I drop a few pellets in, 80% of them or so get immediately grabbed by a swarm of pods, and the sexy shrimp don't seem to have the aggression to chase them down and steal their pellets lol. So basically I'm beefing up some already monster pods. Any suggestions here? If I buy larger pellets that the pods can't move, will the shrimp share one pellet?

Well, that's an interesting issue. I want a pic of these pods!
Larger food should work, yes. The shrimp might squabble, but assuming they can't drag it away, they should learn to share. The pods might swarm the pellets, though.

I'll try and get a good pic sometime today or tomorrow. I think it's probably just a phase the tank is going through, as its still only a few months old. But some of these guys are monsters lol, and are well capable of grabbing the small pellets I'm using now and running away with them. It's fairly comical to see the sexies interact with them haha.

I have those too in my mantis tank. Tons of them. I noticed earlier something moving sand underneath an oyster shell, looks like a tiny version of a pistol shrimp moving sand out from under the shell to create a cavity. There are 2 of them doing it at the same time.

Thanks for the tip martini, I'll try that today and see how it works. Honestly it's kind of a comical/entertaining problem to have lol. These pods have some guts. They will readily take pellets from right under the sexies noses and run away with them haha.

Oh I definitely understand. Mine go and grab the food from the mantis burrow, she can see them and has tried to catch them before but they are too fast and small
