Here is my 3ft. male bamboo shark. I feed him with shrimps, squid and market fish.

Hope you guys like it.

He's in my 300 gallon tank together with a coral catshark which is around 2 1/2ft long and a spotted grouper.

Sorry for my phone cam pictures. :)

i love those guys i had a banded for a while then it got stuck between some rocks when i was at work and by time i got home he was gone.

That's sad bro. My rocks are layed flat at the back portion of my tank and that's the only cave i have for them. :)

Well, that's just my apporximate measurement. Maybe around 2ft? or less? Well, she's kinda long. I'll try to take a picture of it for you fishymel. :)

Coral Catshark's maximum length is 24" and average a little bit less than that out of the ocean.
Also your bamboo will be outgrowing your tank once it reaches its maximum length.

Yes please take a picture of your coral cat, I've been considering trading in my bamboo and 150 for a coral cat in a 220. They attain a small size, are really spiffy, and I hear alot more active is this true?

Nice shark you have there. I, too, would love to see more pics and a FTS.

FishyMel, you're correct. Coral Cats are more active than your average Bamboo or Epaulette.

Coral catsharks are night time feeders. Marbleds I believe are a little more active during the day, but not a lot of people have had marbled catsharks.
I'd defenitely recommend getting trading the bamboo, because those need at least 500g if it is a brown banded, which most seem to be boughten are.
I'd go with a 280g(6'x3'x2') that's the minimual for a pair of coral catsharks.

Ok thanks, I saw a marbled cat once how often are they available? I am on the hunt for a 220+ gallon tank:D . For now though I will make do with my banded I will post pics of him today.

Yes. My coral catshark is more active than my bamboo shark.

I will take picture of my sharks with my friend's camera. :) Just wait guys.

Charger, I said it was my approximate measurement. I didnt say it was the exact size of my shark.

What does fts mean?

Well there is another site that has a lot of shark dealers. Also there are sites that have them, just rarely in common. I'd get the sharks from a dealer you can trust. Most sites mis-sell them as marbled bamboos or something like that.

Yeah I know, I just thought I'd let you know that they don't get over 2'.

I saw a marbled cat over the summer at my lfs, at that time I didn't even have my 150 set up yet. By the time I went back he had sold but luckily to a an 1100 gallon tank in a bar/restraunt downtown, so at least she's in a good place.

Wow, you must have some very nice LFS to get those in. I've only seen mostly brown-bandeds, one coral catshark, and one whitespotted bamboo in Oklahoma's lfs.
