its always the same stuff. as soon as a shark or a ray thread pop up .
theirs always a 10 or 12 year old guy or gal impersonating an adult ( probably has had only a goldfish in a bowl the size of my sons milk bottle ) start to go down the peta path!!

I feel the exact same way about my pond. Can't wait 'til its set up and can't wait 'til my shark goes in. She'll feel like the queen of the world. :lol:

She looks like just like my new marbled cat, which I know is definitely a marbled. If you look I posted some pics of her, she is also about 18 inches.
I don't think it matters that much though, other than marbles are from Australia and corals are indo pacific. I've also heard corals have more of a temper than their laid back Australian relative.
Sorry Mel but Lendz has a Coral Cat. Note the scattered large white spots on the sides, back and fin margins.

I'd have to agree, looks like a Coral Cat.

ok - here the thing about how to IDing Atelomycterus Cats - as juvies - it usually pretty hard Id correctly. - especially with Corals & Marbled - since they look very similar in the sub-adult size range - about 12-16".
As Adults it's much easier - Coral Cats are brighter colored with White spots - Marbled Cats have black spots and grayish bands.
As pups - Coral Cat start out with whitespots on a dark gray body, As they start mature the dark gray (almost black) becomes like black spots(right next to the white spots). Eventually as they reach maturity - Coral Cats lose the Dark gray spots completely
Marbled Cats - as pups tend to be a bit lighter - with white spots. But as they maturity the lose their white spots - and keep the black spots with gray bands.
As for your Catshark = I would have to say - Coral Cat also.
