My Snowflake Clowns

Nice looking pair of clowns. At those prices i am raising the wrong kind.
By the way nice to see a semi-local reef tank setup.

holy crap!
where can i get a pair?

from someone who knows someone who knows someone who may know a breeder or store that has them.

Seriously, though, they are pretty hard to find; LA sometime has them on DD, there is a thread on another forum selling them, but I believe they are not accepting new orders right now due to the long wait list.

Yes, the waiting list is so long the individual selling the snowflake clowns discontinued the waiting list.

Hey Chris, yes, Santa Cruz is just down the street a bit. I read your thread, I like the little clowns. If I can get these two to lay eggs you'll have to help me out. Let me know if you're ever in Salinas and you can check out my tank.

Which thread did you read through? build or breeding? I head down towards your way to play some golf from time to time so maybe i will shoot you a pm next time and see if you are going to be around, maybe we can swap some corals or something. If you get to the point of eggs just let me know and i can try my best to help out.

Aren't snowflakes ocellaris?

The woman breeding clowns who had a waiting list has perculas that are showing a lot of white.

From my limited knowledge, you could have either ocellaris or percs that show a lot of white and could be snowflakes - right?

Actually, Snowflakes = Occelaris and "Snowcassos" = Perculas from Picasso parents.

And just to completely muddy up the waters, I have no idea what the guys that are producing the hybrids are calling their "Snowflake"-like clowns.

I am one who prefers the extreme white Perculas, but........I do REALLY like how the Ocellaris Snowflakes have the jagged edges! Yours are very nice.

Edit to add - the post above is correct. My avatar is a Percula "Snowcasso."

Very nice pair and for them to be hosting is such a bonus.
I have one Snowflake currently. They are incredible to watch. Hopefully hell have a mate real soon.
Any more pics to share?

I'll try to get some new pics up within a few days.

Everyone, if you have a snowflake or two, feel free to post pictures here. Or, start another thread for that purpose and we can all post pics in it.

this is my pair of snowflakes..they haven't bonded yet..there were two pairs for me to chose from i chose this pair with less snow on it because i like how it looks like a shooting star on it lol..
