i don't know nada about those white spots, but more threads are being posted about that specifically. one of the pics looks like bleaching to me. i can't find anything in either book knop or fatheree on white spots. another poster, scapes, just lost a gigas that had a white spot. check out that thread. it's still right on this page.

What about lighting? What lighting is on your tank, and what size tank is it?

That clam would be much much happier sitting on rock.

Thanks for the info scapes and sorry for your loss. Our tank has 2 250w MH 20,000k and 4 T5 actinic's and a 60g tank. Thanks

I think the place we bought it from had just T5 lighting on the clams.

By the way he is a great seller as we bought a bunch of different zoa's to and everything is doing great! I have been burned a couple of time from ebay and now this will be the only seller I would buy from on there. I have bought from big online stores and his packaging and livestock just as good and good prices.

Just wanted let you know that those white spots are almost all gone now. I think being under 700w of lights is having a good affect on it. Those white spots are almost all blue now...
