The original plan for my tank was strictly zoas and clams. However, I added one piece of sps and couldn't help myself but add more. I wanted this tank to be low maintenance as I travel quite a bit. My biggest challenge so far is flow. its had to get the water moving good through the center. Anyhow, heres a few pictures.

Thanks for looking!

Acanthuras lineatus. Very nice :) whats his feeding schedule?

What dimensions is this? looks like a 40g deepblue tank? Would love to get one..

also, what kind of lighting? looks great!

maybe get a powerhead and aim it up towards the middle of the tank?

When I set up my new tank, I said I was just doing zoanthids and chalices. It was full blown sPS before I knew it.

I switch between many types of foods for him. Mysis, pellets and what ever else goes in when i nuke my tank with food. Also, a nori here and there.
Its accualy a 60g deep blue. Dimensions are 48x24x12t.
I run 2 250w radiums for 4 hours a day each on for 2 hours each. Also, I use a reefbright XHO for actinics.
I angled the return into the center and its just right! No sandstorm and had very decent flow.

HAHA yep! I just couldn't help myself!
Very nice tank. I love the shallow look.
Thanks!
Awesome tank! I absolutely love the aqua scape!
Thank you! I'm loving it. The openness makes it easy to clean and gives it great depth!

And... a new pic!

Cheers!

I seen somebody else with a shallow tank who had a custom acrylic shield made to go above their vortechs so they can turn it up all the way without it sucking in air. Maybe that will help with your flow.

That could work, however, it being so shallow a sandstorm would be inevitable.
What I did change though is I un-synced the pump and set one in lagoon and the other in reefcrest. Seems to be working well so far! Fingers crossed!
