My stream alarm is going off

Hey Roger,

Last night, in the middle of the night, my stream started beeping. I unplugged it. This morning I took it apart and cleaned it, as the instructions say on the "sticky" on this forum. Everything looks ok, what else can it be?

Any cracks in the magnet? Did you check if the upper bearing was stuck to the drive unit or if calcium was plugging the hole in the center of the magnet? Do you have more than one pump?

yes, i have more than one pump. I tried putting the other transformer on this pump. Same alarm. I just took the whole shaft assembly apart and cleaned. Nothing is cracked or clogged.

Would you try:

1) Switch the drive unit from one pump to the other- test and see if this makes a difference.
2) Swap the pumps and drivers, open the drivers, plug in the pump that works into the driver that is alarming and vice versa. This way we can narrow down the part that is the problem.

1)It is not the drive unit, I swapped them and it worked fine.
2)I would have to do some more work to get them taken apart to check the driver.

But, it is now narrowed down to either the driver or the motor. I'll know which one it is in alittle while. Are these parts under nay sort of warranty? My pumps are both a little less than 1.5 years old.

I don't want anyone to think Roger stopped helping me out. I called him rather than dealing with the back and forth. It turned out to be the motor and he is honoring the 2 year warranty.
Great Support, Thanks Roger.
