My sweet Ricordia score

Here are a few pics of the rock that I picked up a few days ago. The picture of the whole rock was taken with my crappy old digi cam, the others were taken with a better camera. The rock has about 20 Ricordias on it with about three or four color morphs that I can see. I picked it up for......$20 :) The pink one rocks, there are about five baby pinkies on there, in addition to the large one, that I can't wait until they reach full size. I just put them into my main tank which has MH so they are a little shriveled and shaded until they get used to the intense light. Enjoy!

I wish my LFS had stuf like taht for that price. All that I can get here is a bland $70 single polyp. Awesome rock and congrats.

Oh this wasn't from my LFS, they charge $100 for a small pink polyp. I got this rock from a fellow reefer who was taking down a 240G tank to move. He had the rock listed as "Green Ricordia $20". I was surprised as all heck when he lifted the whole rock and put it into a baggie. Early christmas for me.

Sweet! Sounds like a good return on my investment, lol. I have two large pink ones and about 10 baby ones growing. Here is my other pinky that has been in my tank for a while, there is one large one and about 4 small ones growing.

Great pictures Rick. That is an awsome rock you got for 20 bucks. Those kind of deals don't come along very often. Your pictures tell me you have got the hang of it, for takeing great pictures.
Here is a picture of my pink yumas.

NICE! Love the neon green rics and the pink ones are nice.

Maybe luck will come my way soon and I get a score like that!

Really nice score....Becareful with the pink under MH....I have had no luck with them under MH and I have read many accounts of them not doing well under MH.....In fact I have never had any luck with yumas under MH..But under flourecents(NO & VHO) I could Keep all I wanted...That is still a hellava score...:)

The shot of the pink one in my 3rd post down has been under MH for almost a year now and it has been growing and giving off babies. I have the new rock shaded until they can acclimate to the light. I've actually noticed that my pink one expands more the closer it gets to the MH....strange.

It could just be luck of the draw too...As this hobby what works for one don't for others...Like I said that was my expierance after going through 7 $150 dollor pink yumas I figured I would leave them alone....I just wouldn't want you to lose it....I still want one so bad but just can't do it again...Good luck with yours though, if I could get that kinda deal I would try it in a minute though.
