My Tank Gets Busy While I'm Sleeping

I had a touch of the insomnia tonight, so I broke out the red light app on my phone. Not as many bristleworms and snails as I've seen before (thanks to the busy wrasse I guess) but I was happy to learn that my scarlet hermit is still alive and busy, had written her off for dead after 3 weeks of no sightings. She was adorably munching away

Also, my new bubble coral has so many different faces! During the day it is regular pearly-looking, but at night it makes food-boners even though I fed it already.

I also saw my pistol shrimp out prowlin but he prowls too fast for a picture :)

Nice. All I see on nightly prowls are gorillas.

One chucked a snail at me tonight. He's getting big. Too big to keep hiding in those small
Holes. He he he he heeeeeeeee.

A buddy of mine has a red blob slime during the day. ...
One night went down to check his stuff.

The blob of slime is a nucturnal coral..it goea from blob to full blown coral.

I dont have photos but. Id say we avoid nuctornal corals because we dont know about them much.
Ill see if he sends me the photo. As its for sale

I LOLed. I love tank watching at night. I thought I didn't have any bristle worms at all until I decided to take a look at night. The place is also absolutely crawling with amphipods.
