Quick note to all on the "cup corals"... the TBS guys say that most are of the genus Colangia. They need to be target fed (like you would Tubastrea) since they do NOT house symbiotic algae. A baster full of frozen brine shrimp works VERY nicely...

Nice rock and killer photos.
I'm a proud member of the "TBS Package Club" but I only have my first half so far. I am still losing hours just sitting and "staring at rocks"- having a hard time keeping the lighting to five hours.
Fascinating!

I picked up a copy of "Reef Creature Identification Florida Caribbean Bahamas" by Paul Humann and Ned Deloach that is helping me a great deal in figuring out what is what. I under that they have another volume detailing corals also. It's nice to have an ID book specific to the region your rocks come from, and the way it teaches taxonomy makes it easy to understand. Recommended to all.

I target feed my Tubastrea brine shrimp (about a tablespoon worth) every other day. They are growing rapidly. That's two tennis ball sized colonies. If you turn off your major power heads while you feed them you can target feed each polyp, which is necessary since they do not "share" resources between them like most corals -- ie, each polyp is very much on its own for food.

Cheers!
