My Trapping Success!

I have been going after 2 mantis in my tank, a bluish-green one, and a red/rust colored one. Today, success! Caught them both in less than 5 minutes. I made my own trap out of 3/4 inch clear tubing, about 3 inches long. One end I covered with a piece of nylon stocking. I attached a piece of fishing line to the other end. I put a small piece of frozen food in and then covered that with a small rock to keep it in place. It was time to go fishing then. I lowered the tube's opening just outside the hole where mantis was and he went right in after the bait, and I lifted his clicking A$$ out. Now I am setting up a nano tank with them. I will keep you updated!

I think I'm envisioning this correctly but is there any chance of a picture of your contraption? You used the fishing line to pull the unit out of the tank I assume? Thanks.

Are you planning to keep both in a single 6g nano? Doubt they will like that if that's the case. Perhaps a pair of 6g's would be better or I'm sure someone here would take one off your hands. Thinking it'll be more like :fun2: than :love1: unless your lucky....... then you may get :fun1:
